Pull out your eggs from the fridge and fill a pot with water and begin to boil. Once the water is boiling, add your eggs and pick your desired time. Have a bowl of ice water waiting on the side waiting for your finished eggs.

Anything after 9 mins and the yoke is very firm, and really, not considered soft boiled anymore.

When your timer goes off, immediately pull them out and into a strainer and quickly flash them into your bowl of ice cold water a few times. Doing this helps separate the eggshell and inner skin from the egg white and you can easily crack and pull the shell off with ease. TIP: Peel your egg immediately otherwise the egg will continue to warm and may not have the consistency you want. Also, the shell and skin inside will stick together and it will be difficult to peel your eggshell off.
